This Morning viewers in tears as father after seven weeks

<strong>49<\/strong>53 03902533935341[44~88] | hThis Morning viewers were left in tears after a cancer-stricken four-year-old was finally reunited with her father after seven weeks apart due to the coronavirus crisis. 

Mila Sneddon, from Falkirk, became a symbol of the importance of self-isolation when a touching snap of her kissing father Scott Sneddon, 50, through the living room window was shared online last month.  

Mila, whose immune system is already compromised, was staying at home with her mother, Lynda Sneddon, 36, while her father Scott - who was still working - stayed elsewhere in order to reduce the risk of passing on COVID-19.   

However today, the family gave an interview on Good Morning Britain and viewers were moved by Scott's sacrifice, admitting that they could 'only imagine' not being able to see their children throughout the pandemic.

The toddler, from Falkirk, was finally reunited with her father last week after seven weeks apart due to the coronavirus 


Appearing with wife Lynda and older daughter, Jodie, Scott said: 'I was scared that obviously I had the coronavirus and I would bring it into Mila'. 

'Her immune system was compromised, so I made the decision before the government introduced the lock-down'.

He added: 'It was very difficult, I just had to keep telling myself I was doing the right thing and 유로247 I was doing it for her safety.' 

In a video taken last week, the little girl can be seen bounding towards her father before the duo share a tearful hug as they meet for the first time in seven-weeks.  


























































Viewers were moved by Scott's sacrifice, admitting that they could 'only imagine' not being able to see their children throughout the pandemic


Viewers quickly took to Twitter, with one writing: 'Mila is so beautiful, what an incredible young lady. To the father, your sacrifice in staying away is truly humbling. 

'I have daughters and cannot imagine only seeing them through a window. You are your daughters hero and rightly so. God bless you all.' 

Another said: 'Lovely to see that Lynda! So heartwarming hope this put a big smile on Mila's face'. 

'What a lovely family thoughts and prayers for them. Mila is a little beauty', added a third.

Scott, who is a service engineer, has been furloughed meaning he was able to return home to be with his family yesterday - after two weeks of self-isolating to ensure he had no symptoms of the illness.  

Lynda told that while it was 'emotionally challenging' looking after Mila on her own, she's lucky enough to have a 'wide family network' who supported her throughout the process. 

'It's difficult being a parent to a child with additional health needs is difficult anyway', she said.

However went on to say to host Piers Morgan she's  lucky enough to have a 'wide family network' who supported her throughout the process 


'We're lucky and fortunate to have a wide family network, knowing Scott was missing out on caring for Mila was emotionally challenging.  But we were able to chat with video call'.

The mother explained last month that her daughter, who was diagnosed in November last year, is used to spending periods in isolation.

She said: 'I think she's been used to these periods of isolation for a long time, but she is one of the most resilient and positive young girls there is. She's taken this all in her stride.'

The mother added of her husband Scott: 'I'm really conscious of the mental challenges Scott faces at this time. So having these windows of opportunity, is going to be beneficial for us all.'
