Amy Macdonald, from Scotland, took to Twitter to explain how her friend was in work when she spotted the static woman in one of the flats opposite. 

Sharing the post with her 123, 000 followers, she continued: asia gaming casino semangat88 'She didn't really think anything of it and thought it was just a woman enjoying a coffee whilst looking out the window.'

'She started to get a bit worried when hours had passed and this woman had not moved. She went to get a better view. Och, just a cardboard cutout of Judi Dench.'

The musician revealed that after further investigation, the neighbour in question turned out to be a cardboard  cutout of Judi Dench (pictured)







Amy penned: 'My mate was in work and she noticed a woman standing at the window in one of the flats opposite'


The musician went on to address the person who lives in the flat, thanking them for giving her 'the best laugh.'

And many were quick to take to the comments section with similar stories of their own.

'For years, someone down in west end of Greenock had a pair of full size mannequins of Laurel and Hardy, bowler hats an all, in each side of their bay window overlooking the main coast road at Battery Park..real freaky stuff,' commented one.

A second penned: 'Haha my friend has one of these in his house. I can't remember why they got it, but usually it's just in random places around the house. Makes me laugh every time!'

Meanwhile, a third added: 'I had the same story near the flat I used to live in in Glasgow.'

'Thought this lady was watching me as I walked home everyday until one day after several paranoid weeks I realised she was cardboard.'

Others commented on the randomness of having a cardboard cutout of the Academy Award-winning British actress/ 

'All good homes need a Dame Judi cardboard cut-out,' joked one, while a second penned: 'Utter belter! My mum had a full size Julio Englesia in her bedroom for 15 years.'

Another added: 'I always leave my cardboard cut out of Judy Dench in the strangest places,' while a fourth commented: 'I watch too many true crime docs. I immediately suspected some sort of gruesome murder. Standing corpse at the window.'
