The launch of Porte-à-Vie comes after Kirstie made headlines for releasing a tell-all book about the fashion industry, titled The Vogue Factor, in which she claimed certain models ate tissue paper to feel full.

Kirstie also claimed that some models starve themselves for days on end, spend frequent stints on hospital drips and are often so weak with hunger that they struggle to keep their eyes open.

She was replaced quickly by Edwina McCann, who was then the editor of Harper's Bazaar.
