Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel

por Danilo McGee (2023-03-22)

There are many names in fashion, but there is only one Coco Chanel. Her designs showcased a side of women that was rarely seen during her time, but her styles are still modern and relevant today. Chanel stated that her inspiration came from observing an audience at the opera, and she vowed every women should dress in black. It is tweed that is said to symbolize clothes of CHANEL.

I am truly inspired by some of her iconic designs and aim to infuse a little more Chanel style into my wardrobe. The attention to detail prove why Chanel tweed is coveted by fashion lovers everywhere. His success launched a revolution as one luxury fashion company after another, from Dior and Givenchy in Paris to gucci glasses replica in Milan, hired talented younger designers to update their image.

But you will likely wear a designer puffa coat every day in winter and, with that two-inch-wide brand patch, you can be sure that everyone will know where you bought it from. One of the things that makes Coco Chanel's style so special, is that her clothes are still modern today.

In the early 1980s, Karl Lagerfeld became the chief designer of Chanel and helped develop the brand into modern times, while keeping Coco's original motivation of simplicity and small details. The classic cardigan-style suit has also been offered in terry cloth, while denim jackets are trimmed with Chanel's favorite camellia flowers (both for spring-summer 1991).

And although the Chanel Suit may have long since gone out of style, there are plenty of newer and more modern designs that keep the same stylistic elements of Coco's original sketches. We've written a complete timeline of the iconic French fashion house, starting with the birth of petite Gabrielle.
