Brooke Boney was talking to reporter Jessica Millward during a live cross to London for the BAFTAs when the Channel Nine show suffered a technical glitch right before finding out if Cate Blanchett won an award.
'Any second now...
no news yet?' Boney asked Millward, who was glancing down at her phone.
'No, you'll have to excuse me. I keep refreshing the phone. No, there's two awards to go, Best Actress and Подборка фильмов онлайн Best Film, so it really will be any second now... she is the favourite to take out the award,' Millward said, trying to fill time.
Only later was it revealed Cate, 53, had in fact won Best Actress for the film Tár, in which she portrays a narcissistic orchestra conductor.
