Neal McDonough 'questioned by police over house hunting efforts'

Minority Report star Neal McDonough was stopped and questioned by police after his house hunting efforts raised the eyebrows of one concerned local.

reports police received a call about a man acting suspiciously earlier this week in a neighborhood in Westlake Village, a community near Los Angeles.

The caller reportedly feared the person was casing the area and causing trouble after observing him driving through the neighborhood, emerging from his car and knocking on doors. 

But when deputies responded to the call and rebahin discovered the suspicious individual was actually McDonough, the 1922 actor informed them he was actually just looking for a new home to buy in the neighborhood, according to TMZ.

The site reports law enforcement determined McDonough, 57, was not committing any crimes following a friendly conversation about his activity in the area.

McDonough, who is from a strict Catholic family and one of six siblings from Barnstable, Massachusetts, shot to fame in the TV series Band of Brothers.

He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and has appeared in numerous films, including Minority Report with Tom Cruise and Clint Eastwood's Flags of our Fathers.

His TV career has included roles in the smash hit series Yellowstone and Desperate Housewives.

He has a dozen projects in the works, including the sports drama Black Spartans.

Outside of his career, he has been married to Ruve McDonough since 2003 and they share five children together.

In 2010, McDonough was fired from his $1 million starring role in Scoundrels for refusing to film sex scenes, reported at the time.
